The kid thinks she is a t.v. star…..

We made it through the television show without incident. The girls did great. The parents did okay. We (All of the parents and kids) ended up being at the show the whole hour instead of a quick segment. I must say, television is NOTHING like I thought it was. These t.v. people live their lives in 30 second segments of time. It might best be described as controlled chaos. Through in 50 parents and kids and call it a day. Or at least a morning segment. Everyone was real nice to us. My only complaint….. the coffee sucked. Oh well.
Now I have to live with a diva though. Kiera has done nothing but cry and complain that we don’t do this everyday, or every hour for that matter. No, literally, every hour or two she asks when we are going back on t.v. She thinks this is normal now. She liked it and liked being around all of the kids and chaos and doting people.
You won’t see a our segment on this site anytime soon. Stupid me, I didn’t think to make a copy on the DVR of the show before we left. I am now relying on someone else to get me a copy. As soon as I have it, I will post some of it on the blog. Until then, you can see a segment (with us cut-out of course) on the Sacramento CBS13 website.
Okay, got to go, my little Diva is calling. Something about hair and makeup.
Coming!

I used to work at the CBS affliate in Las Vegas and I work in PR. I’m all too familiar with what it takes to put together a segment. It’s always a lot of waiting, which was probably interesting when put a bunch of kids in the mix. There are television monitoring services you can call and for a fee receive the entire segment on DVD or whatever electronic format you prefer.
