How many of you out there have kid toys that you get and then they become more clutter for you to trip over?
All of you. I know.
That is why I just heard a rumor that if you call the toy manufacturer, you can rent the toys and then send them back for more toys. And it’s FREE!!!!!
Can anyone verify this? This would be awesome if it is true.
Before you all tell me about existing websites that allow you to rent toys, I know. I’ve heard some people have created these sites and allow you to PAY to rent these toys for a month or two and then send them back and PAY again. But I’m talking about FREE people. If you contact participating toy manufacturers you can supposedly get these toys for free. Oh, and if you are a parent of multiples, then they may even let you keep them. Hell Yes!
So, before I start calling manufacturers, I was wondering if any of you knew about this and just didn’t tell me? Also, do you know which toy companies this works for?
As I get information, I will post a list for everyone to access.
What say you?

My wife is always buying our son more and more toys. He plays with them for a day or two and then gets bored. The result is a whole lotta clutter. I know what you’re going through.

I have NEVER heard of this. I think it’s gotta be a scam.

Craigslist is kind of like that — so is Freecycle. Give your toys away whenever you’re done, and then pick up new ones as your kids get older.
OK, not EXACTLY the same, but keeps clutter out of the house, right?

I have checked this out, and sorry to say, that the kind of manufacturers that make high quality engaging toys that our kids really love, will NOT DO THIS. I do however have a solution to the TOY CLUTTER PROBLEM! After my twins needs for great toys out grew my ability to continue to buy, I finally decided to come up with a solution. Last year I created a company called BabyPlays, where we charge a membership fee and parents can choose lead free, phthalate high quality engaging toys for their kids. Children can play with the toys until they are bored and then ship them back. No shipping charges, no late fees! All toys are sanitized with an all natural EPA cleaner. It’s a fantastic program and growing wildly across the US.
