Do you remember the Cure song? This is not about that. There was a time when I wished for warm days and warm nights. I lived in a place that had warm days and cool nights. Now I live in a place that has hot days and somewhat hot nights. During the summer is never really cools down unless we get the Delta Breezes.
So after a weekend of 105-107 degree days and dipping into the low 90’s at night I find myself a bit lethargic.
This weekend we have struggled to find things to do for the girls that did not involve going outside. Or at least nit outside in our town. We headed up the mountain on Saturday morning. We went here. We had lunch and then headed back down the mountain to our house. It was 107 by the time we got home. Then we all took a nap and headed over to the Aunt and Uncles house for a BBQ OUTSIDE!!!! When we left at 9:30PM it was 96 degrees. Needless to say we all went to bed early and slept.
Today we basically hung out inside. I hate just hanging out inside. It was only 105 today. We attempted to go to the river but it was too much to find a spare spot to hang out that was safe from trash and fast currents. Whomever is in charge of the Sacramento River system really needs to do something about all of the trash and crap along the river banks. Also, people need to have some consideration and pack out their trash. Do not leave it for the next guy. We have kids and broken beer bottles and drug syringes are not ideal for little kids to be around. What the heck has this country come to?
So, our weekend was Hot, Hot, Hot. We were hot, the air was hot, the cat was hot. There was no escaping it. I mean, have you seen gas prices lately? Jeez. What has this country come to?

You could live here where we’re still wearing winter clothes and the heat runs during the night. Today is supposed to be 50, windy, and rainy after a blah weekend. Where can we go where there’s a nice compromise??

It was also like that here in Vegas over the weekend. It’s too early to be dealing with such heat. The air conditioner and television were essential for survival.

This weekend the baby kitty said he wanted to go visit you. We were like…”Uh…how about in the fall??”
He said “No…how about Monday?”
