A tradition in our house, that is until Grandpa dropped the ball last year and stopped sending them, ugh. It is difficult to explain to toddlers, preschoolers, etc...that they can only have 1 chocolate a night. Many a advent calendar have been violated in our home on Christmas' past. Tanya~mom to crazy 5 year old boy twins, and a couple of older kids too :) Ah, the chocolate advent calendar. Don't tell the Norwegians. They think THEY invented the Advent calendar. Or ... maybe that's why they put all kinds of other crap on there besides chocolate ... an inferiority complex or something. Ah well. We're done with the "small gifts." My kids don't do chocolate, as in regular, normal chocolate. (I know. I don't know where that came from.) So they're getting M&Ms every day.
