Whoops, I did it again…

Actually, that was my Britney Spears shout out. (Hi Ms. Train Wreck!)
I really didn’t do it again.
What am I talking about? I, as a Father, made the mistake of mixing up my twins. I’ll wait while you shout your disappointments and disbelief at me. Done yet? Okay, I’ll continue.
I picked up Reese and put her into her bed for a nap today. Then she started screaming that it wasn’t her bed. I was trying to figure out why she thought that and then I realized she wasn’t Reese. She was Kiera. Whoops!
My bad.

I used to do it with my brothers constantly, there’s always that initial “oh crap” moment afterwards but after a little while you start to look at it as preparation for them for school and about every other social situation out there unfortunately.

Too funny.
DO they really look that much alike? that will be great fun for them as they get older.

As a twin myself, believe me when I say that it really doesn’t matter much. They are going to have to deal with it throughout their entire childhood. My parents, grandparents, friends and schoolmates used to get my brother and I mixed up all the time. It didn’t damage us. It’s no big deal.

Don’t feel bad. My Dad still mixes us up and my brother is three years younder than me and 5 inches taller.

You mean, you didn’t get them tattoos as soon as they were born so you could tell them apart? We had the twins scheduled to get theirs the day they came home from the hospital, but unfortunately they are fraternal.

I do that all the time with my two sons. But they aren’t twins. Feel better? I hope so!
