Bring it on…

My kids mock me. They are 2 1/2 and they mock me. I will need to nip this in the bud quick. They both tell me no when I ask the super nicely to do something. Then when I threaten them in my best big grown up dad voice, Reese looks at me and points her finger and says No No NO! in her big girl voice and puts her hands over her ears and points at me then says shush! What the Eff? She’s 2 1/2.

Don’t get me started with the other one. She thinks she’s so grown up that she doesn’t even need us. But hey, get this. My kids rock. Why you ask? Because they are now fully potty trained! Oh, and they dress themselves too. Sometimes the outfits they pick out leave a little to be desired, but my wife let them go to the mall today dressed exactly how they put the clothes on. Shirts were backward, princess shoes from Halloween on the wrong feet and odd striped pants with flower print shirts. (Didn’t you get the memo on the new fall fashions?)

That’s right, my kids have attitude and they are potty trained and they can dress themselves.

We rock!

Bring it on people!

Okay, don’t bring it on. I’m a wuss. I just talk big. Don’t believe me. Just ask my kids.

  1. Any chance they want to come over here and teach my kids to use the potty?

  4. That is great about the potty training. I have two boys and boys take longer to embrace the potty. My 2.5 year old has NO interest in the potty right now… his big brother was just over 3 when he was fully potty trained. You’re lucky with girls.

  5. Luke was PT before he was 3, which I figure gives me 7 months to get Jack PT. Your beautiful girls DO rock! Use your camera next time the girls dress themselves again. My mom has a picture of me at about their age in my red and white striped t-shirt and really funky plaid overalls. Oh and did I mention the maryjanes with white ruffled socks? Fashion at it’s finest! ;o)

  7. Too…… Many…… Jokes…..

    1. Has Reese been learning things from Julia?

    2. And Kiera… thinks she’s grown up, and doesn’t say no? Hmmm….

    3. Interesting clothing choices. Sounds like they are an umbrella and a big visor short of the uniform in my neighborhood.

    4. Glad the girls are out of Daipers. At your age I was wondering if Julia was going to have to change the three of you at the same time.

I’ll stop here, because I have no more nice jokes.
