6-9-39 to 5-16-07 (My Dad)
By dad2twins on May 16, 2007 in People I would like to meet, Person of the week, Random thoughts...
Today we lost our father. He was our Dad. He died way too young and we regret that he did not get to enjoy his retirement or his grandchildren nearly enough. We know he had another 20+ good years in him. This is cancer and this is life.
Dad, we are really going to miss you. You were loved by many more than just your friends and family. We hope you have found a better life and say hi to all of our friends and family that have passed before.
I know we have some hard times ahead of us. You were the Patriarch. The leader of this clan. Tonight I drink a Guinness in your honor. I know I will see you again. We will play golf again. We will laugh again. But best of all, we will walk on the beaches again with your fucking ABC bag under your arm like a homeless man. That will make us all laugh for sure.
Goodbye Dad. I love you and I miss you already.
