Zero arrests and two evictions later…
By dad2twins on Jan 29, 2007 in What was I thinking?
I am happy to report that no one spent the night in jail in Reno. Not that a few of the bachelor party participants didn’t try. I can now tell you how easy it is to get evicted from a casino. And not for trying to cheat. Just for being obnoxious.
4 members of our group of 14 were not behaving very well. These guys were late entries into the bachelor party plans and except for the Bachelor and 1 other guy, no one even knew who these guys were.
Did you ever see Deliverance? These guys were right off the boat from the back country. And I’m not even exaggerating. I only wish I had pictures.
There idea of fun is trying to piss off anyone who crossed their path. Including other members of the bachelor party. None of us took the bait, but the waiter in our restaurant at the El Dorado did and most of us didn’t get to finish our meal. These guys were obnoxious and offensive to almost everyone around us. Those of us that have known each other for 20 years or more were at the other end of the table eating when we were surrounded by security guards, pulled from our meals and escorted out of the restaurant without any warning. We finally got the story of our eviction from the Bachelor after we were tossed. Then another set of guards joined the ones that through us out of the restaurant and proceeded to escort us out of the Casino all together. Thankfully I was liquored up enough not to care about missing most of my meal.
Oh, the strip club was fine because it distracted these guys enough that the rest of us snuck off back to our hotel and spend the rest of the evening enjoying the gambling and bars of our hotel.
We made it to bed by 4AM and were up by 9AM. Breakfast was lunch and the two hour drive back to our homes. Party complete.
I think I will pass on the next bachelor party I am ever invited to though. I fear I am getting to old for this.
Back to my normal life and never happier.

But it’s nice to PRETEND you’re still capable of doing it, isn’t it?
I swear there’s always somebody at a bachelor party that needs to get muzzled and/or jailed. It’s like a requirement that every guy has one friend like that or something. I hope you walked away ahead…the tables can be a bit rough on me, personally…

My sister-in-law thought it was odd that, at my age, I have friends who would have a bachelor party.
I will go on the record with the irony that I was kicked out of the Eldorado when that is my favourite ELO album. AND, while I was reading the blog, Poorboy from that album came up on random shuffle. Out of 12.795 songs. What does that say..

btw… all the sports books had ME as the person most likely to get us into trouble.
I beat the odds!
