I’m suspicious of Google Adsense. Let’s do something good with it.

So I am now a member of MyBlogLog. A very cool service in the Web 2.0 Arena. Christine at the Bean Blog turned me on to it. One of the great features is that you put a piece of code in your blog and it tracks people’s clicks. More importantly it tracks the clicks on the Google Ads at the top and the side of my pages.

Here’s the rub. MyBlogLog has been telling me that at least 4 - 6 people a day have been clicking on the Google Adsense links, but Google Adsense tells me that NO ONE has clicked on them in the last few days. Who is right? My suspicion is that Google is messing with me.

So, here is the experiment I would like you to participate in. Please click on any of the Google Ads on my site and leave me a comment on how many you actually clicked on. I will keep track and see how it compares with what Goolge Adsense reports.

Here is the best part. I will double any amount of revenue I make from your participation in this experiment and donate the money to the local food bank for Christmas. So If I make $5.00 between now and say, December 23rd, I will add $10.00 to the pot. Wait, I’ll even do better than that. I will quadruple it! Naw, My final offer. I will add 10 TIMES the amount I make.

So start clicking and leaving me your comments about how much you have clicked. I will keep a running tally for everyone to see and on December 23rd I will tell you how much we are donating. Cool?

  2. I clicked three, and clicked down through to a specific product on each - just in case they don’t count it unless you click deeper.
