Being an Independent, I guess I opened myself up to both sides of the get out the vote phone wars. Last night our phone did not stop ringing. We kept a running total of the people calling us and the number of times they called. This is not a joke. See for yourself. Oh, and by the way, get out and vote!
- Bill Clinton - 3 times IN A ROW!
- Al Gore - Once for a proposition on our ballot in California
- Robert Redford - 2 times
- Tom McHenry - 5 times (Former Mayor in our city)
- Republican party - too many to count
- Democratic Party - See Republican Party

Oh! Man! You got Robert Redford! I didn’t get Robert Redford!
Not that I’d mind a call from Redford either, but THIS is why we didn’t get a land line last time we moved. We have 3 family members, three cell phones (one cell phone is the “house” phone in case we need to leave the kid with someone or we have a sitter who we want to contact while she’s out in the world with our kid- for $10 a month, it’s not a bad deal).
No campaign calls, no telemarketers, very few wrong nuimbers.
and THAT, my fiend, is priceless.
