Person of the Week

It has been a while since I posted the person of the week.
This week the person of the week is actually you. (Yes, I’m talking to you)
What I mean is my blogging buddies. Those fellow bloggers who share their lives through words, pictures, family stories and opinions. This week I have fallen in love with you all over again. As you may have noticed, I have added many more blogs to my must reads on the right. These are the blogs I visit regularly and they are the blogs that make me happy to be a blogger. So without further adu, here are my persons of the week. (If you are not on the list, my apologies in advance. Shoot me an email with your link and I will add you to my list)
- Sarah and the Goon Squad - Sarah was the FIRST person to comment on my blog when I started it and without knowing it has become my mentor and idol in the blogging world. She is the one I look to for inspiration when building my blogging identity. Sarah, you and the squad rock. I continue to read your blog religiously. Come to think of it, I am a member of the Church of Sarah. Rock On!
- The Bean Blog - Christine has a wit about her that I love. I found her blog by accident and I haven’t looked back. As many times as I go to her blog, she should probably put a block on my ip address. I find I wish she would write more often. Oh but when she does, it almost always makes me laugh. And I love the bean blog for that. Write more often Mama Bean.
- I’d Like to buy a vowel - Becky, Becky, Becky. You are often missing in action. We never know when you are going to add an entry. Your the mysterious blogger. Sometimes your here, sometimes your there. Regardless, I always keep going back for more. I am glad to see that you have an entry that isn’t 3 weeks old. Let’s all encourage Becky to write more. Please!
- 20 Little Toes - Brenda has some of the cutest kids in the world of blogs. You should go to her site just to admire her pictures. I do and I am better for it. Keep up the great work Brenda. I am a faithful fan.
- Queen of Spain - Wow! The Queen is a friend of Sarah. And boy does she have a mouth. I love it. She is the best writer among us by far. And if you like your blog served up hot, then the Queen is, well… the Queen. She is absolutely a must read. Her entries have almost made me pee my pants.
- Indigo Girl - I hold Indigo Girl in high esteem. She is one of the most honest and forthright posters in our universe. Her posts are a breathe of fresh air and I am inspired by her often.
- Parentopia - Devra makes me laugh. Her site takes a serious subject and makes it fun. Her book “Mommy Guilt” I’m told is a must read. I must confess I have not read it. Sorry Devra.
- Rock Star Mommy - This is one of my new favorites. I do not know her and I only recently left my first comment, but I already am a fan and can’t wait to see what she has written next.
- Dad Gone Mad - This is the King of all Daddy Blogs. As you can tell I am heavy into the mommy blogs (Sarah, I blame you) and so Dad Gone Mad represents the male perspective I obviously lack. I am such a girly boy.
- My newest additions - The following blogs I have jsut started reading and I really like them all. Special mention goes out to Cape Buffalo for doing a fantastic job of outing a recent blogger who tried to remain anonymous when writing a nasty comment to her. You go girl! Here are the rest:
- Cape Buffalo
- Cray Life, makes me tired
- Crouton Boy
- Cynical Dad
- Her Bad Mother
- Kemp’s Blog
- LumpyHead
- Raising 3 Crazies
- The “Bush” Whacked Administration
- The Official Site of Grant Miller

Aw, shucks. Stop. You’re making me blush.
I’m with Becky. You’re going to make my head swell. Honestly after the troll attack (I’ve had to involve the police, btw, but *SNORE* I am officially bored by the entire thing) I appreciate the kind words more than ever.
Thanks!!!
Hey thanks! I didn’t know I was your first!
The Church of Sarah. I like the sound of that. Maybe I’ll use that for the name of the band I form when The Squad goes off to college.
Hey, I’m certainly not going to “guilt” you into reading our book. But I will tell you I am flattered as hell to be on your list!
I’m totally joining the church of sarah. It has beer, right??
Oh…is there a prize for making you actually pee those pants?
…just wondering. And up to nothing naughty…I swear…
I’m so flattered. I just turned around and said to my husband and two oldest boys, “somebody likes me. somebody really likes me.” They were all like “what? who? somebody likes you?” I have officially written them out of the will. They are totally going to miss that $6.73.
Oh my goodness! Wow…. I’m shocked, flattered, a touch embarrassed and stunned all at the same time! Thank you! I think you are the first person to add lil’ole me to your list!
