For Indigo Girl

Preface:

The blogging community among parents is thriving. I am proudly a member of this community. Even though I do not personally know many of the bloggers I read and relate to, I am still human. Therefore, I have found I feel the joys and sorrows of those I read.

This post goes out to one in particular who has been brave enough to share her emotions as she grieves the loss of her mother. I have debated for a while how I should connect with Indigo Girl in a respectful way without invading her privacy. God knows there are enough stalkers out there and weird people with unkind intentions. I am not one of those. So here is a poem that I found that I hope makes Indigo Girl feel better in her time of sorrow and grieving. I am posting it here because I think we can all draw from it at some point in our lives.

For Indigo Girl:

When you are sorrowful
look again in your heart,
and you shall see that in truth,
you are weeping for that
which has been your delight.

Kahlil Gibran 1883-1931

Peace from Dad2twins.
