Back to politics, I just can’t stop.

Fucking Rumsfeld!
Ground rules for readers of the following political rant:
- I am socially liberal and fiscally conservative, but not a democrat or republican. Once a democrat and once a republican.
- I hate this war in Iraq, more than you can know.
- I support our troops, but was never a soldier.
- I really hate Rumsfeld (and this administration).
- I want our troops to come home (ALIVE).
Okay now I rant.
Fucking Rumsfeld is now telling families of troops in Iraq that they should stop complaining because the volunteered for duty. Here is my problem with his latest insensitive comments. First of all, I agree they did volunteer. They were told they would be liberators of Saddams oppression. Then they were told they would be home soon. Now they are sent over for tour after tour or their tour is extended indefinitely. Families have no idea when (and if) their loved ones are coming home and Fucking Rumsfeld has the nerve to tell the families to stop complaining. They have nothing to complain about.
How about a human response asshole? Give these soldiers some hope. Fucking Rumsfeld is an ass. He should resign and be replaced with someone who at least has a beating heart. They may have volunteered, but they have a right to know why they are really there and what is the exit strategy. Fucking Rumsfeld will have you believe that there is no more righteous honor than to be sent to Iraq so just shut up and stop asking any questions. We will send you home sooner or later. Hopefully in a military transport and not a body bag.

Serious?!? What a moron. These people volunteer to defend our country. Not to be used and abused by their own government. They leave behind mothers and fathers, spouses and children to protect the rest of us. I don’t see Rumsfeld leaving behind his family for extended periods of time. He’s ridiculous. He needs to take his sorry ass to the frontlines and see how it really is to be a “volunteer.”
