Ah, poor thing. Darn kids really are quite good at escaping. Don't worry. Things like this will happen many more times before she moves out of the house. Eventually it will be you wanting to flip her off. Just think of this as early payback for the teenage years. ;)

True story. When our son figured out how to roll, I let my husband know what was goin' on, but since he'd never seen the kid do it, hubby had no idea the baby could roll at mach 10. Hubby was getting ready in the morning and put our son in the center of our bed par usual. Baby rolled off the bed. Husband shaken, but not yet stirred so he thought "fluke". Next morning, repeat performance. Baby was fine, husband not, but I call pediatrician just to make sure baby isn't getting multiple concussions. I explain to our doc what has happened in the past 24 hours. She says "Put the daddy on the phone, I want to make sure he is okay too." I heart our pediatrician for recognizing daddies get scared too. All parents need to be reassured that accidents are not "on purposes". We all try our best, and despite our intentions, we cannot control everything. So, roll with the punches and instead of beating yourself up!
