Some random observations and other thoughts on the future….

I was just thinking (Can you smell my brain misfiring) about the girls and kids in general. As they grow up they get into all kinds of activities and sports and camps etc. Here are a few that I was wondering if my kids would be involved in.

  • Getting into trouble camp – They are already good at this so they probably won’t have to enroll in a camp to do this. They do it so well in the morning when you just want to lay in bed a few extra minutes. It’s not really trouble, trouble just annoying trouble. Like both trying to get in the same chair at the same time and screaming at each other and pulling each other off the chair.
  • Is crying a sport? Can we expect every Saturday morning to gather with the other parents of crying kids to bring our lounge chairs to the local field and sit around and see who’s kid is the loudest? Should we bring juice and snacks? Should we actually encourage this?
  • Will we EVER SLEEP IN AGAIN? – Just wondering.
  • What will our girls be when they grow up? Okay, this is a bit heavy. I hope the grow up healthy and happy but what are they going to be like? Funny? Smart? Caring? Always having to bring home the stray dog or cat? I was just wondering?
  • Will they like soccer? I hope so on this one. I love soccer and would love to coach the girls. Or at least go to soccer games and cheer them on.
  • As I write this, Kiera is practicing the crying sport. She has a wail that will wake the dead. Gotta go…..

  1. Trouble – just wait until they start pulling hair, poking eyes and biting.

Crying – not a sport, but screaming is. I’m thinking of starting a league.

Sleeping in – yes, you will. But if you’re like I am, you’ll wake up and wonder WHY they are still sleeping.

Growing up – I just hope I can keep them alive until college. Then it’s their turn to keep me alive.

Soccer – start throwing the ball at their heads now.
