Vacation, what vacation?

Well we are back from our Lake Tahoe vacation.

We went up with two other families. Eleven of us in all. Boy that was fun, but I think I missed the vacation part. The Farty Pants Twins were a little thrown off by the schedule and didn’t like the Romanian orphanage cribs that we were given by the resort.

The cribs were about 2 feet by 3 feet and metal. The girls hated them. In the middle of the night the girls would start screaming because they didn’t know where they were and we would have to bring them into bed with us so we didn’t wake the whole house. Needless to say, we didn’t get much sleep.
Oh, and is just me our does high altitude living give toddlers gas. They really lived up to the farty pants twins name on this trip. I could have filled our van up with the amount of gas coming out their ass. I need to find a way to convert toddler gas into gas for vehicles. Anyone? Anyone?
We don’t have another vacation scheduled until next February when the girls will be 22 months. Then we will see if we can have a real vacation with them. It’s Hawaii so no high altitude gas. Oh shit, the plane ride. I forgot.

Hawaii plane suggestion from someone who has lived through it:
New toys and candy.
The ride over was a living hell. I got smart in Hawaii and stocked up on Hot Wheels cars at WalMart which I distributed at 20-minute intervals. I was approached by fellow passengers after the ride home and told what a wonderful mother I was. Honest to God.
Note to self: If this check out to be true, don’t take The Goon Squad to the mountains.
