So it wasn’t Colic after all. We went to a Pediatric Gastroenterologists and his diagnosis was Acid Reflux. He prescribed some medicine for the girls to take and suggested Allimentum as the formula. Damn, that Allementum is $25 for a small can and we were going through several hundred dollars a month in that stuff. Well after several months and numerous visits to the Doctor, we are happy to report that the kids are off the medicine, off the Allementum, and leading normal little toddler lives without Acid Reflux.

For all of you parents out there that think your kids might have Colic. Spend the time to go to a specialist and see if your kids have Acid Reflux. It is common and often mis-diagnosed as Colic. Most Doctors will tell you there is no cure for Colic, but it is your lucky day… If it is Acid Reflux, there is a cure.

We sleep better now and our kids do not scream after every feeding or when you lay them down to sleep. And as Martha Stewart says… “and that’s a good thing.”
